What exactly is going on with the surface of the moon or Mars? Why do they look so bumpy? How can you make your own lunar surface so you can see just how craters are created? Supports: S2E2
Engineering Challenge - Create Earthquake Resistant Structures
WHOA! What is that rumbling that's coming from underground? Why is it so destructive? This hands-on activity helps students understand what earthquakes are and what scientists are doing to keep us safe from them. Students will work with creative supplies to engineer their own earthquake-resistant structures. Supports: S5E1 * Material kits available upon request for an additional charge

o Zoom visits will last 30-40 minutes unless otherwise specified.

o The teacher must be in attendance throughout the session.
o The teacher must complete a 10-15 minute set-up session 1 week in advance; for hands-on activities, supplies may be provided by the Museum, but teacher participation time will be required to set up for the activity in their classroom.
