Wild Wednesday at the MAS: Birds of Prey
Join us for an evening with the birds- birds of prey that is! Spend the evening in the Peyton Anderson Orchard with MAS Raptor Program Director, Pete Griffin, and Curator of Living Collections, Sharron Cornacchione, as they talk all about birds of prey! Find out more »Edenfield Bat Cave Temporarily Closed
Great news! The Museum of Arts and Sciences is getting more African Straw-Colored Fruit Bats! The Edenfield Bat Cave will be closed from July 27th-August 17th to allow our new bats to quarantine and adjust to their new home. We apologize for the inconvenience and hope you'll come visit to welcome them when the exhibit re-opens!

Nature Explorers: Pollinators

The Museum is popping up right outside of Washington Memorial Library on Wednesday, September 15th, from 11-11:30AM! Come learn about a native Georgia animal and see it up close for yourself! This event is FREE and is funded by the Downtown Challenge Grant.

Visit the Museum of Arts and Sciences on September 16th to celebrate National Rock Collecting Day! Jay Batcha, Tina Perkins, George Ruff, and Eddie Williams from the Mid Georgia Gem and Mineral Society will be in the lobby to talk all about rocks and minerals from 1-4 PM.

Train Week Kick-Off
LITTLE RED CABOOSES! Get the opportunity to go inside the Museum of Arts and Sciences' Seaboard Caboose, and learn all about trains in the process! In celebration of the restored caboose outside the museum, local railroad historian Ralph Hawkins will offer a 30-minute multimedia presentation on the history of railroad cabooses from 12:15-12:45 PM.
