Discovery House

The 40 million year old whale fossil Ziggy welcomes you to our three-story interactive Discovery House, which features three floors of interactive exhibits exploring art, science and humanities. It’s adjacent Back Yard contains forest, aquatic and desert habitats for the Museum’s live collections that live in the Mini-Zoo.

Mimic the strokes of artistic geniuses in the third floor Artist’s Carret, let your imagination run wild in the Dream Room, journey to faraway lands in the Globe Room, or pen your own poetry in the Poet’s Corner in the Humanist’s Study.

In the Inventor’s Basement, become a mad scientist for the day or simply enjoy watching nature unfold from our window of winged wonders.
