The Annual Pet Show was slated to return to the Museum of Arts and Sciences in its 58th year, the longest continuously-running event at the Museum — hosted by the Museum Guild — when visitors were offered a fun, family-friendly afternoon of entertainment on Sunday, April 14, 2013. Unfortunately, this year’s event was cancelled due to inclement weather.
Schedule of Events
This year’s Pet Show was organized to allow children to show their pets for competitive judging in the categories of Small Dogs, Large Dogs, Cats and Other Pets. Winners from these four categories would have been able to compete for the “Best in Show” title. Also slated was judging for Pet Tricks and Pets in Costume and all participants could receive a recognition ribbon.
The Museum Guild organized games, refreshments, face painting and crafts as part of the Pet Show. A crowd favorite, the Museum again this year scheduled free pony rides from the Pony Patch, which specializes in delighting children of all ages.
We look forward to seeing you and your family pet(s) at next year’s 59th Annual Pet Show at the Museum of Arts and Sciences.
